![]() Guru Nanak was the first Guru of the Sikh community. Guru Nanak ji was a good Sufi, Bheda-Bheda Vadi poet. Guru Nanak ji traveled to many countries, of which India, Pakistan, Persia are the main ones. At the age of 36, Guru Nanak left his home and started preaching. The birthplace of Guru Nanak is Talwandi Pakistan (Ravi River) Punjab province. Guru Nanak ji was from the Khatri dynasty. Gurbani Japuji of Guru Granth Sahib is the nectar of Guru Nanak. Jap Ji Sahib begins with Mool Mantra and is followed by 38 pauris (stanzas) and ends with a final Salok at the end of this composition. Among them, Japji Sahib is a shortened form of Guru Granth Sahib. ![]() Guru Nanak Dev Ji composed the Guru Granth Sahib.
